My Life

These last couple of weeks have been pretty busy for me. A couple weeks ago, my mom and I went to a makeup class that my friend, BreAnn Olson, was teaching. It was so awesome! We learned a lot of cool tricks and it was so much fun! My makeup skills have improved tremendously since then!

The following night I went to Ballet Blast. It's a ballet cardio class that my other friend, Brianne Johnson, teaches. It seriously kicked my butt! I have never been to a class like that and it is SO amazing! So I've been going to that twice a week and it makes me really happy!

This weekend was a lot of fun. My cousin, Trevor, and his fiance, Shana, finally had their baby girl, Kynlee. We got to go visit her and hold her on Friday. She is absolutely beautiful! She looks so much like her older sister, Preslee. Babies just melt my heart. They are so precious!

Last night Trevor and Preslee had a little date night so mom and new baby sister could get some rest and have some alone time at home. They came over to our house with Kyle to have a BBQ and watch the UFC fights. My mom and I played with Preslee all night. She is so adorable. I just love that little girl!

Painted Preslee's fingernails purple (her favorite color)
Awww... her tiny little hands and tiny little fingernails. How cute is that!?

Speaking of nail polish... it's that time again! Nail polish of the week :) Here it is....

It's called "Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em"
Another color from the OPI Texas Spring Collection. I love it! :)

The Letter "P"

As most of you know, I love to cook. My favorite things to make are desserts and appetizers. I could play hostess all day long if I could. So I’ve been thinking lately about how fun it would be to open up my own business and call it “Panda’s Pastries”. I was telling my family about it and asked them if they thought it would be appropriate to open up a business called “Panda’s Pastries & Polish” (because why wouldn’t nail polish be included into any business I open up, right?!). We were all laughing about it and came to realize how a lot of my favorite things start with the letter “P”. So I have decided that one day I will have my own business called… wait for it….. wait for it….. “Panda’s Pastries, Polish, Puppies & Photography”. It’ll be perfect J

Negativity

Two posts in one day seems a bit extreme, so I will keep this short and sweet. Negativity spreads like wildfire and is very toxic! I remember working at Best Buy and having so many nice customers and all it took was one mean one to ruin my day. This applies to every day life. Whether you are on the receiving end or on the giving end (which I would hope not), just always remember that you could be making or breaking someones day.

Nail Polish of the Week!

As most of you know by now.... I may or may not have a slight obsession with nail polish. The only way I know how to feel better about this addiction (besides buying more nail polish) is to blog about it. So I have decided to start posting my nail polish of the week. This week I am wearing "I Vant to be A-Lone Star" by OPI. It's part of their new Texas Spring Collection (which I am loving). It's not a color that I would normally pick out, but i'm glad I did. It's so cute on, and I think it is hyping me up for spring to finally be here! Check it out... I've had this on since last Friday, so I apologize in advance for the somewhat starting to chip paint job :)

Moab

Over President's Day weekend Adam and I got to take a fun little trip to Moab with his awesome family. It was so much fun! I had never been there before (shocking, I know), but I am glad I finally got to experience it. We hiked around every day. The first day, we went to Arches National Park. The second day, we hiked to Corona and Bowtie Arch and then drove out to Dead Horse Point. On the last day we went out and hiked at Fisher Towers (my favorite). I must say that using my new camera in such a gorgeous place was really fun! Pictures still don't do it justice, but I hope these pictures give you a little glimpse of how cool it really is.

Oh ya, and one more thing.....I love living in Utah!

Day 1 - Arches National Park
Balancing Rock
Double Arch
View from below the arch
Creepy alien rocks. It looks like a bunch of bobbling alien heads. (I think the storm clouds in the background makes them look even creepier)!
Day 2 - Corona and Bowtie Arch
No throwing rocks at the photographer, Steve!

Bowtie Arch or as we liked to call it "The Pot" (it looks like a toilet ha ha)

Corona Arch - Can you see the ant-like people walking? Just goes to show how big the arch really is. Pretty Crazy!
Kathy and Tasha :)
I love this picture!
Dead Horse Point - I wish I would've gotten some better pictures here, but it started to get stormy and overcast so they didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. Pretty cool place though!
Day 3 (my favorite) - Fisher Towers
Awesome formations
It seemed like they were never-ending the further we hiked in
I love the little (or should I say big) squiggley formation at the top
Adam took this picture (well done my friend)
How does a formation like this even happen without crumbling!?! So crazy!
Another favorite picture of mine :)

Favorite Things!

I decided to blog about some of my most favorite beauty products. Some of those things I may or may not be slightly obsessed with!
Nail Magic! This stuff is so amazing!! My nails get very brittle in the winter and break a lot. This stuff completely fixes it. It makes my nails so much stronger and it works fast too. When I paint my nails I use it as a base coat, and sometimes use it as a top coat too.

Speaking of nails.... I am slightly obsessed with nail polish! My favorite brand is OPI. I cannot get enough!! Just when I think I have all of the colors I want, I find another color that I just have to have!! It's a sickness, I know! For anyone out there like me, be warned: Stay away from Ulta! Or... go there often, it will fill your nail polish addiction and eat up your paycheck :)

If I were stranded on an island and could only have two beauty essentials it would have to be lip gloss and face moisturizer. Right now I am in love with this Smashbox O-Plump lip gloss. It gives you a little plump to your pout and reacts with your personal skin chemistry to turn lips your own custom shade of pink! I truly love it and can't get enough. My favorite moisturizer right now is Korres Quercetin & Oak Anti-wrinkle Night Cream. In the winter my skin gets so dry and this moisturizer truly makes me feel like my skin is instantly hydrated. I put it on every night before bed.  It's a little pricey, but so worth it and lasts a long time! Side note: It smells kind of like playdough.

We can't forget about hair! My hair stylist would use this Brocato Curlinterrupted Keratin Protein Spray on my hair every time I went in. He would call it his magic spray. It seriously made my hair look so good!! :) The protein is really good for your hair. It strengthens it, smooths it out, and gets rid of any frizz. I use it about once every 1-2 weeks.

Last, but far from the least, my favorite clothing store, Express!! I have a serious addiction to this place! It comes and goes in waves (most likely lined up with the seasons ha ha), but I love their clothes!

I hope you guys (maybe I should say girls since I'm sure no guys will care about this blog post as it in no way relates to them) enjoyed the insights. :)

What a week!

This last week has been crazy! So much has happened. My beloved Steelers lost in the Superbowl. I thought I would be way upset, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I also like Green Bay,  and if they were playing any other team I would have rooted for them. At least it was a good game, and two good teams were in it this year.

We went to the Jazz vs. Bulls game on Wednesday. I made a sign that said "I would never trade you Korver". The camera man was on me, but didn't put me up on the jumbotron. Maybe they thought my message came across as rooting for the Bulls, which was not the case. However, the Jazz did lose and we had no idea how big of a deal it was that we were at that game until the following day. Good thing I saved my ticket stub, because I attended the last Sloan coached Jazz game! Crazy stuff!

On Thursday night, the Acoustic Bandits (Adam and Chris) played their first show. It was so much fun! So many people came to support them and it was good to see all of our friends and family. I also found out that night that Adam officially got hired on as a web designer at BPI. I couldn't be more proud of him!

Below are some pictures from our awesome Superbowl party at Chantelle's house, and some pictures from the Acoustic Bandits concert! (I apologize in advance for the horrible quality of pictures from their show, my digital camera was having serious issues, and I should have used my nicer camera). Lesson learned!

I was outnumbered by the cheeseheads!

One of my favorite pictures! haha
Look ma, no hands!
Sophie and Kyle's beautiful wife, Carolina
Masen was going through Wii withdrawls... Is the game over yet!?!
Trevor loves getting his picture taken (especially while watching the Packers play)
Max is just texting his GF...
Chloe is too cool for the superbowl!
Could this picture be any more precious!?
Steelers sweatsuit, check... Steelers t-shirt, check... Terrible Towel, check.... Superbowl win... :(
Who gets a pre-made cake of the Superbowl Champion!?! They lucked out just this once, but honestly....
The Acoustic Bandits! So talented :)

My one decent picture of the night, so I had to share :) Adam and his brother, Jake.
