Favorite Things!

I decided to blog about some of my most favorite beauty products. Some of those things I may or may not be slightly obsessed with!
Nail Magic! This stuff is so amazing!! My nails get very brittle in the winter and break a lot. This stuff completely fixes it. It makes my nails so much stronger and it works fast too. When I paint my nails I use it as a base coat, and sometimes use it as a top coat too.

Speaking of nails.... I am slightly obsessed with nail polish! My favorite brand is OPI. I cannot get enough!! Just when I think I have all of the colors I want, I find another color that I just have to have!! It's a sickness, I know! For anyone out there like me, be warned: Stay away from Ulta! Or... go there often, it will fill your nail polish addiction and eat up your paycheck :)

If I were stranded on an island and could only have two beauty essentials it would have to be lip gloss and face moisturizer. Right now I am in love with this Smashbox O-Plump lip gloss. It gives you a little plump to your pout and reacts with your personal skin chemistry to turn lips your own custom shade of pink! I truly love it and can't get enough. My favorite moisturizer right now is Korres Quercetin & Oak Anti-wrinkle Night Cream. In the winter my skin gets so dry and this moisturizer truly makes me feel like my skin is instantly hydrated. I put it on every night before bed.  It's a little pricey, but so worth it and lasts a long time! Side note: It smells kind of like playdough.

We can't forget about hair! My hair stylist would use this Brocato Curlinterrupted Keratin Protein Spray on my hair every time I went in. He would call it his magic spray. It seriously made my hair look so good!! :) The protein is really good for your hair. It strengthens it, smooths it out, and gets rid of any frizz. I use it about once every 1-2 weeks.

Last, but far from the least, my favorite clothing store, Express!! I have a serious addiction to this place! It comes and goes in waves (most likely lined up with the seasons ha ha), but I love their clothes!

I hope you guys (maybe I should say girls since I'm sure no guys will care about this blog post as it in no way relates to them) enjoyed the insights. :)

What a week!

This last week has been crazy! So much has happened. My beloved Steelers lost in the Superbowl. I thought I would be way upset, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I also like Green Bay,  and if they were playing any other team I would have rooted for them. At least it was a good game, and two good teams were in it this year.

We went to the Jazz vs. Bulls game on Wednesday. I made a sign that said "I would never trade you Korver". The camera man was on me, but didn't put me up on the jumbotron. Maybe they thought my message came across as rooting for the Bulls, which was not the case. However, the Jazz did lose and we had no idea how big of a deal it was that we were at that game until the following day. Good thing I saved my ticket stub, because I attended the last Sloan coached Jazz game! Crazy stuff!

On Thursday night, the Acoustic Bandits (Adam and Chris) played their first show. It was so much fun! So many people came to support them and it was good to see all of our friends and family. I also found out that night that Adam officially got hired on as a web designer at BPI. I couldn't be more proud of him!

Below are some pictures from our awesome Superbowl party at Chantelle's house, and some pictures from the Acoustic Bandits concert! (I apologize in advance for the horrible quality of pictures from their show, my digital camera was having serious issues, and I should have used my nicer camera). Lesson learned!

I was outnumbered by the cheeseheads!

One of my favorite pictures! haha
Look ma, no hands!
Sophie and Kyle's beautiful wife, Carolina
Masen was going through Wii withdrawls... Is the game over yet!?!
Trevor loves getting his picture taken (especially while watching the Packers play)
Max is just texting his GF...
Chloe is too cool for the superbowl!
Could this picture be any more precious!?
Steelers sweatsuit, check... Steelers t-shirt, check... Terrible Towel, check.... Superbowl win... :(
Who gets a pre-made cake of the Superbowl Champion!?! They lucked out just this once, but honestly....
The Acoustic Bandits! So talented :)

My one decent picture of the night, so I had to share :) Adam and his brother, Jake.

Brother from another mother!?

My week has been consumed with thoughts of the Superbowl, Steelers, Sports, etc. I love this time of year! I don't know if it is just me, but does it seem like there are a lot of sports guys who have strikingly similar look-alikes!? Some of them are very obvious, and some of them might just be my own opinion. I wanted to share a few with you and let you decide for yourselves.

Mike Tomlin (Steelers coach) and Omar Epps (actor on House). This one is probably obvious, but it is eerie how similar they look. For all we know, they could be the same person :)

Sean Payton (Saints coach) and Kenny Chesney. Doing a little coaching on the side Kenny!?

Diana Ross and Troy Polamalu. Pretty much just the hair on this one, but I couldn't resist! :) Using a little Head and Shoulders I assume? Troy must have really taken it to heart when Diana sang "Ain't No Hairdo High Enough".

Georges St-Pierre (UFC Fighter) and Vern Troyer (mini me!). I love how Vern is wearing a Steelers jersey. Very appropriate! Represent :)
This is one I never thought of before, but discovered while on this blogging journey. Crazy! Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay QB) and Kid Rock. Ha ha

Big Ben (Steelers QB) and Jesse James. Not only do they look alike, apparently they both do not know how to treat women. So much in common, they should be BFF's! At least Big Ben is a good QB. Win a third Superbowl and all of your sins will be forgiven! :) LOL
Tom Brady (Patriots QB) and Justin Bieber. Maybe there's hope for a Gisele in your future too, Justin (or a painful loss to the Jets hahahahaha)

That's right.... Pau Gasol looks like a disgusting, scary, terrifying, ugly ostrich! I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

And last but not least... Charles Barkley, and Barkley! :) Love their wrinkly foreheads!
